This wee birdie is a Weka. We met one rainy Thursday on the Queen Charlotte Track overlooking the Bay of Many Coves (so called because blah blah zzz...) It tried to eat my tyres. I gave it some museli bars instead. It was a bit skittish, maybe because it's flightless. Then again, so am I; but I'm big, and I've got a bike.
